Five Nights at Freddy’s Joins Universal Halloween Horror Nights

Universal`s Halloween Horror Nights are set to be even more terrifying this year with the inclusion of Five Nights at Freddy`s. Universal has released the initial teaser for the attraction, confirming its presence at both Universal Studios California and Universal Orlando Resort in Florida. The announcement was accompanied by a short video showcasing Freddy Fazbear and the iconic animatronic characters.

The Five Nights at Freddy`s experience will debut at Universal Orlando on August 29th, with Universal Studios California following on September 4th. The Halloween Horror Nights events at both locations will conclude on November 2nd.

While specific details about the Five Nights at Freddy`s attraction remain limited, it is anticipated to be a recreation of Freddy Fazbear`s Pizzeria, as seen in the original game and its film adaptation. Guests can expect to encounter Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy, navigating “creepy abandoned hallways” and confronting “ghosts in the machines.”

This year`s Halloween Horror Nights lineup also features attractions based on the Friday the 13th franchise (Jason Universe), WWE`s Wyatt Sicks, Terrifier, and Fallout, available at both Universal Studios and Universal Orlando. Notably, Universal Orlando will offer additional original themed experiences not found at the California park.

It`s worth noting that the Five Nights at Freddy`s Halloween Horror Nights event will conclude before the release of Five Nights at Freddy`s 2 in theaters on December 5th. Universal Pictures recently unveiled the first trailer for the sequel, hinting at a darker narrative than the 2023 predecessor. Josh Hutcherson, Matthew Lillard, and Elizabeth Lail are set to return, joined by new cast members Mckenna Grace, Teo Briones, Skeet Ulrich, and Wayne Knight.
