Fisherman from ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ Joins Call of Duty: Black Ops 6

The formidable Fisherman from the renowned horror film `I Know What You Did Last Summer` is set to become the next Operator in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. This deadly character, introduced into the game as part of a promotional campaign for the new installment in the franchise, promises to bring intense suspense. The brief teaser trailer features the line: `Last summer, they knew what you did. This summer, the Fisherman awaits you in your lobby.`

Despite lacking a numerical designation in its title, the new film is the fourth installment in the iconic slasher series and a direct sequel to the 1998 movie `I Still Know What You Did Last Summer`. Set 27 years after the Tower Bay murders, the plot introduces a new hook-wielding killer targeting a group of friends. A year prior, they concealed a car accident in which they may have caused a fatality. The film premiered on July 18 to mixed reviews, achieving a worldwide box office gross of $24.6 million.

The precise release date for the Fisherman—a character strikingly similar to the `Hash-Slinging Slasher` from `SpongeBob SquarePants`—has not yet been announced, but their debut is anticipated in Season Five of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. This reveal comes swiftly after several other unexpected crossovers in the game, which recently saw the addition of characters from `American Dad`, `Beavis & Butt-Head`, and Eve Macarro from the `John Wick` spin-off `Ballerina`.

In other Call of Duty news, a new age verification system has been announced for implementation, and Treyarch recently unveiled a striking trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.
