Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade PS5 Physical Edition Reaches Record Low Price

The physical PlayStation 5 edition of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade is currently available at a significant discount, priced at just $30 on Amazon. GameStop is also offering this deal, though it might incur shipping costs unless opting for in-store pickup. Unfortunately, Target, which also had this promotion, has sold out.

Earlier this year, Square Enix re-released the physical PS5 version of Final Fantasy 7 Remake. This edition had been out of stock and out of print for several years, a puzzling situation even as FF7 Rebirth approached its February release. Consequently, the game was commanding exorbitant prices on the secondary market. While its return was welcomed, the initial $70 price point still seemed steep given the game`s age. However, at $30, it represents a far more appealing value.

The current $30 price is likely a temporary offer, with the cost potentially reverting to around $70 soon. For comparison, Best Buy is listing it at $60, and Walmart at $55. Those eager to acquire a physical copy should act quickly. For players solely interested in experiencing the game, the digital version is available on the PlayStation Store for $15.19 until July 31.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake stands as a stunning modern reimagining of the iconic 1997 classic. Primarily set during the initial Midgar segments of the original, the remake delivers a significant visual overhaul for Cloud Strife and the Avalanche team as they battle Shinra Inc. to prevent them from exploiting the planet`s life force. Past specters loom over Cloud and his companions, and the game introduces significant narrative alterations towards its conclusion, challenging existing expectations.

The Intermission expansion centers on Yuffie Kisaragi and her ally Sonon Kusakabe, as they endeavor to pilfer a potent artifact from Shinra. This enjoyable, albeit brief, addition to the core Final Fantasy 7 Remake experience also brought various technical and graphical enhancements to the game. While largely linear and featuring some minor pacing issues, Final Fantasy 7 Remake remains a compelling choice for those wishing to immerse themselves once more in Square Enix`s beloved cyberpunk-infused sci-fantasy universe. Additionally, a Nintendo Switch 2 port of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade is anticipated, though its release date is yet to be announced.

Dedicated fans of Final Fantasy 7 might also be interested in the official “Material Ultimania Plus” book, which delves into the PS5 version of FF7 Remake. Released last November, this hardcover volume offers an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the development of the critically acclaimed RPG. Originally priced at $40, it`s currently available for $29 on Amazon. Furthermore, the first “Final Fantasy 7 Remake: Material Ultimania” book, a 336-page hardcover focusing on the original PS4 version, is also discounted by $15, bringing its price down to $25.

Another notable re-release for Final Fantasy enthusiasts is the “Final Fantasy I-VI Collection,” featuring the Pixel Remasters of the series` first six main installments. Initially released in a very limited run, new copies for PS4 and Nintendo Switch became available last October. While Amazon`s stock of the Nintendo Switch version sold out during Prime Day, GameStop continues to offer it at the Prime Day price of $45. The PS4 version is largely unavailable elsewhere, but it can still be purchased on Amazon for $58.65.

This collection comprises the Pixel Remaster editions of the initial six Final Fantasy mainline titles, along with a sticker sheet showcasing iconic character sprites. Square Enix meticulously reimagined the sprites, building upon the original pixel art, while renowned series composer Nobuo Uematsu supervised the re-orchestration of the soundtracks.

For admirers of Final Fantasy`s classic pixel art aesthetic, “FF Dot: The Pixel Art of Final Fantasy” is also on sale at Amazon for $17, reduced from its original $25 price.

“Rebirth,” the second installment in the FF7 Remake trilogy, launched last year, significantly building upon its predecessor`s concepts and introducing expansive open-world areas for players to explore. For those interested, the PS5 version of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is currently available at Walmart for $54, down from $70. Earlier this year, “Rebirth” also received a PC port, with Square Enix confirming plans for a future Nintendo Switch 2 release.
