Fan-Made Fallout 3 Van Buren Remake Demo Released on Fallout: New Vegas Engine

A highly anticipated fan-made remake of the canceled Fallout 3: Van Buren has seen the release of its first playable demo. Developed by The United West Team, this ambitious project, known as “The New West,” meticulously recreates the envisioned Fallout 3 from Black Isle Studios, utilizing the robust engine of Fallout: New Vegas.

The demo, specifically titled “Fallout – The New West – Tibbets Alternate Start” and available via Nexus Mods, offers players a glimpse into the game’s captivating prologue. Set within the confines of a prison, this initial segment introduces players to fully voiced non-player characters (NPCs) and a series of quests. These quests are carefully crafted based on the previously leaked design documents and lore surrounding the original Van Buren concept, providing an authentic experience of what might have been.
