Fallout 4K Blu-Ray Deal: Get Ready for Season 2

Amazon`s critically acclaimed adaptation of Fallout Season 1 is currently available for purchase on 4K Blu-ray for just $30 on Amazon. Released on July 8, the 4K Blu-ray edition is now priced identically to its 1080p counterpart. This is an excellent opportunity to either experience the season for the first time or revisit its compelling narrative before the highly anticipated Season 2.

Amazon has officially announced that Fallout Season 2 will premiere on December 17. Unlike the first season, which dropped all episodes simultaneously, Season 2 will adopt a traditional weekly release schedule, with new episodes streaming every Wednesday and the finale set for February 4.

Fallout Season 1 Physical Editions

  • 4K Blu-ray – $30 ($40)
  • 4K Steelbook – $43 (Sold Out)
  • Blu-ray – $30
  • DVD – $25
  • Available on Amazon Prime Video

It`s important to note that the current 4K Blu-ray deal applies to the standard edition with a plastic case, not Amazon`s exclusive Steelbook Edition. The collectible Steelbook, a limited-edition release, quickly sold out after pre-orders opened in April and has remained out of stock despite brief restocks in July. It`s likely gone for good due to its limited nature.

The Fallout Season 1 4K Blu-ray is a three-disc set, presenting all eight episodes in stunning 4K resolution (2160p) with HDR support (Dolby Vision and HDR10). It also boasts enhanced audio with Dolby Atmos and Dolby TrueHD 7.1 surround sound. The eight episodes total approximately 450 minutes (7.5 hours) of content. Beyond the episodes, a dedicated bonus disc (standard Blu-ray, not 4K) offers a wealth of behind-the-scenes featurettes.

Fallout: Season 1 Special Features Include:

  • Animated Content
  • Console to Camera
  • Inside Season 1
  • Prosthetics & Makeup Gone Nuclear
  • Set Your Sets on 2296
  • Welcome to the World of Fallout
  • Becoming The Ghoul
  • Creating the Wasteland
  • Safe and Sound
  • Meet the Filmmaker Jonathan Nolan
  • The Costumes of Fallout
  • Writing for the Wasteland

Season 1, which debuted on Prime Video last April, garnered widespread positive reviews from both critics and fans. It stands out as one of the few live-action video game adaptations that truly honors its source material. It`s noteworthy that Amazon, typically not releasing its original shows physically, has made Fallout available on Blu-ray, allowing fans to own it without a subscription. Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment manufactured and distributed these physical editions.

The series centers on three distinct characters navigating the post-apocalyptic Wasteland: a Vault dweller venturing above ground for the first time, a squire from the Brotherhood of Steel, and the formidable bounty hunter known as The Ghoul.
