Elden Ring Nightreign: Two-Player Mode Arrives with Patch 1.02

The recent Elden Ring Nightreign update, Patch 1.02, finally introduces a highly anticipated feature: a two-player expedition mode. This new option allows two users to embark on adventures together, a departure from the previously available solo or trio modes. The “Expedition Type” setting has now been renamed “Number of Players,” and it appears the game`s balance has been specifically adjusted for two participants.

Among the quality-of-life improvements detailed in the patch notes, a significant addition is the new filtering options on the relic effect filter screen, enabling more precise selection of relic effects. If multiple effects are chosen for a single condition, any relics matching those effects will be displayed. However, if multiple effects are selected across several conditions, only relics that satisfy all specified conditions will appear. Players can now save up to 100 relic presets, and there`s a new option to sell and favorite acquired relics directly within the rewards and purchasing menus.

Beyond these major changes, several smaller adjustments have been made. For instance, passive and special effect information is now visible in the results menu. Players can also skip a portion of the cutscene after defeating the Night Aspect. Furthermore, a frustrating feature that forcibly disconnected single-player expeditions after a period of inactivity has been removed.
