Dying Light: The Beast is now launching a day earlier, on September 18, instead of the originally planned September 19. This decision was made by developer Techland to celebrate the game reaching 1 million pre-orders. The studio also announced the precise global launch times for the game.
“This success inspired us to push our boundaries and make the impossible possible,” the developers stated regarding the pre-order figures. As an additional bonus, Techland promised an in-game reward for all who pre-order, with details to be revealed later.
“We pushed ourselves to make the impossible possible, and that`s why we`re releasing the game a little earlier. I can`t wait to see players` reactions when they finally step into the world of The Beast,” commented Tymon Smektała, Dying Light project lead.
The game will become available simultaneously across PC and consoles. Below is the launch schedule for cities around the world.
Initially, The Beast was set to launch on August 22 but was then delayed to September. This new standalone adventure marks the return of Kyle Crane, the protagonist from the first game in the series. Driven by revenge after a decade of captivity and horrific genetic experimentation performed on him by a sinister figure known as the Baron, Crane eventually managed to break free from his dungeon.

Mark Delaney noted in his game preview: “Dying Light: The Beast benefits from years of updates to Dying Light 2, while also incorporating elements from the first installment that Techland wanted to revisit. This blend of old and new seems poised to make the 20-hour game – or 40-60 hours for completionists – truly worthwhile if you are already a fan of the series.”
