Donkey Kong Bananza & Amiibo Bundle Restocked, Plus Other Deals

Donkey Kong Bananza, the highly anticipated new exclusive for Nintendo Switch 2, is now widely available at major retailers such as Amazon and Walmart, just ahead of its July 17 launch. Depending on your location, you might still qualify for release-day delivery. Furthermore, the Donkey Kong & Pauline Amiibo figure bundle has been restocked at Walmart for $98, offering a $2 saving compared to purchasing the items separately.

Developed by the acclaimed team behind Super Mario Odyssey, Donkey Kong Bananza has garnered impressive critical reception, including a 9/10 score from GameSpot and a strong 90 Metascore on the review aggregator Metacritic.

While some Nintendo Switch 2 titles, such as the flagship launch game Mario Kart World, are priced at $80, Donkey Kong`s first original game in over a decade is available for $70.

Unlike many third-party physical Switch 2 releases that often require partial downloads, the full Donkey Kong Bananza experience is entirely contained on its game card, just like other first-party Nintendo titles. Although its file size was initially listed as 10GB, the final size is a more compact 8.7GB, meaning no additional downloads are required beyond potential future patches.

The physical edition of Donkey Kong Bananza is currently in stock at Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, Target, and GameStop.

Donkey Kong & Pauline Amiibo

The Donkey Kong & Pauline Amiibo is priced at $30, aligning with the cost of other recently released Switch 2 Amiibo figures, such as those for The Legend of Zelda. Scanning this Amiibo provides in-game benefits, including early access to Pauline`s Diva Dress and earning Kong Tile power-ups. Notably, all existing Nintendo Amiibo figures are compatible with Bananza and can be scanned to unlock gold Kong Tiles.

Walmart offers a special bundle featuring the physical edition of Donkey Kong Bananza and the Donkey Kong & Pauline Amiibo figure for $98. This represents a $2 saving compared to the combined manufacturer`s suggested retail price, and a $1 saving when compared to buying the game ($69) and Amiibo ($30) separately from retailers like Amazon or Walmart.

Nintendo Switch 2 Console Availability

Donkey Kong Bananza is an exclusive title for the Nintendo Switch 2. If you haven`t acquired Nintendo`s new console yet, select Best Buy stores may have units available for Bananza`s launch. Additionally, Amazon currently has the Switch 2 and Mario Kart Bundle in stock, though it requires requesting an invitation to purchase.

Nintendo Switch 2 Controllers

The Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller, a highly recommended traditional gamepad for TV mode, is now available on Amazon for $84. It features remappable back buttons, which prove useful across various titles including Donkey Kong Bananza and the Switch 2 versions of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.

As an alternative, consider the 8BitDo Ultimate 2 Bluetooth Controller, priced at $70. This controller boasts four extra remappable buttons, trigger locks, premium TMR thumbsticks, and extensive customization options that can be saved across three user profiles.
