PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S owners will be able to download the demo on September 11. Steam users will get access to the demo earlier, starting September 10.
The demo release time for consoles will be consistent across all regions, while on PC, it will depend on the time zone. Here is the detailed schedule:

Steam Release Times:
- September 10: 3 PM PT, 6 PM ET
- September 11: 12 AM CEST, 7 AM JST
One of the main questions exciting fans is whether progress from the demo will carry over to the full game. At present, there is no answer to this question, and no other details about the demo`s content have been released yet.
Recently, journalist Jess Reyes, after spending three hours with the game, was impressed by Digimon Story: Time Stranger`s updated battle system and monster-raising elements, calling the game a promising return to the digital world. Producer Ryosuke Hara noted that the team aimed to improve the battle system to make it more balanced, which, according to Reyes, resulted in what might be the franchise`s most comprehensive battle system to date.
To understand the game`s story, which revolves around a secret agent investigating a mysterious city-leveling explosion linked to the digital world, prior knowledge of older Digimon shows or the 2016 game Cyber Sleuth is not required. For those more interested in raising digital monsters, Time Stranger will feature over 450 Digimon.
The full version of Digimon Story: Time Stranger launches on October 2 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Various preorder bonuses are available, including Black Agumon, Black Gabumon, and new costumes. The digital deluxe edition includes a season pass and a Cyber Sleuth-inspired costume set.
