Delta Force Achieves Historic Concurrent Player Peak on Steam

The free-to-play tactical shooter, Delta Force, recently celebrated a significant milestone on Steam, reaching an unprecedented peak of over 210,000 concurrent players on Sunday, August 24th. This achievement marks a new all-time record for the game, with player numbers consistently holding strong above 170,000 since then.

Since its debut on Steam in December 2024, where it initially attracted more than 100,000 concurrent players, Delta Force has demonstrated continuous growth in its player base, culminating in this recent record-breaking Sunday.

Contributing to this surge in popularity, the latest update for Delta Force, released on August 21st, introduced new event modes and challenges. The developers have also outlined further events planned throughout September to keep the community engaged.

Prior to this, Delta Force experienced another notable spike in player activity on April 21st, which was attributed to the introduction of a new map and an immersive Night Ops mode.

Developed by Tencent`s TiMi Studio, Delta Force also has a console edition that launched in August 2025, featuring a Black Hawk Down campaign. However, specific player data for its performance on Xbox and PlayStation consoles remains unavailable, and the game does not frequently appear in Circana`s US engagement reports.

Industry analyst Daniel Ahmad of Niko Partners commented in December 2024 that while Delta Force enjoyed immense popularity in China upon its initial Steam release, its reception in Western markets was comparatively “muted.” The analysis of peak popularity hours further suggests that the game`s primary player base is predominantly located outside the United States.
