Crimson Desert Developers Address Community Concerns; Digital Foundry to Provide PS5 Pro Technical Analysis

Previously, unsettling rumors emerged regarding the optimization of Crimson Desert’s console versions. Pearl Abyss developers, noticing the growing apprehension, have decided to respond.

Currently, gaming publications worldwide are testing Crimson Desert exclusively on PC. This fact has caused significant concern within parts of the community, as players fear that the console versions, particularly for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, might not be adequately optimized. Questions about the ambitious project’s performance on these platforms have intensified, exacerbated by the lack of detailed console version demonstrations.

Pearl Abyss studio acknowledged that mere assurances would not fully convince players of the quality of the console ports. Therefore, they have handed the game over to the reputable Digital Foundry team.

The Digital Foundry team will prepare a comprehensive technical analysis of Crimson Desert’s performance across all platforms, which will be published by the game’s release. Through this, the developers aim to dispel speculation and provide the community with concrete data.

Digital Foundry has already confirmed that they are working on the relevant materials. One of the first elements of the technical analysis will be a preliminary, yet detailed breakdown of the PlayStation 5 Pro version.

This specific version is currently generating the most interest among players. According to published information, the PS5 Pro aims to achieve 60 frames per second with Ultra Ray Tracing enabled, utilizing the improved PSSR upscaling method.
