Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Unveils New 20v20 Skirmish Mode

At Gamescom, Activision provided a significant update on Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, revealing extensive details about the game`s multiplayer experience. A highlight of this announcement was the introduction of a brand-new 20v20 mode, dubbed “Skirmish.”

The “Skirmish” mode will challenge players to not only engage in intense firefights but also to achieve specific objectives across its large-scale maps. This mode will incorporate exciting new mobility options, such as wingsuits and grappling hooks, alongside the inclusion of various vehicles to enhance strategic gameplay.

Black Ops 7 is set in the year 2035, ensuring a futuristic arsenal of weapons and cutting-edge gear. A notable addition is the new “Overlock” system, allowing players unprecedented customization for their loadouts. Furthermore, the popular Omnimovement system from Black Ops 6 makes a return, now enhanced with an impressive wall-jumping capability.

Upon its launch in November, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will feature a robust content offering. This includes 16 maps for the traditional 6v6 mode, comprising 13 entirely new environments and 3 reimagined classics from Black Ops 2. The new “Skirmish” mode will debut with two dedicated maps. Players will have access to 30 weapons from day one, consisting of 28 ranged firearms and two melee options. Notably, 16 of these weapons are completely fresh additions to the Call of Duty universe.

Enthusiasts can get an early taste of Black Ops 7`s new multiplayer features during a beta test kicking off in early October. The full game is set to hit shelves on November 14.
