Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Leaked Video: Insiders Debunk Jetpack Rumors

A recently leaked video for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 initially sparked speculation that it showcased jetpack movement, as a character appeared to be flying. However, the trustworthy Call of Duty fan page Charlie Intel quickly debunked these theories.

Charlie Intel clarified, stating that “Black Ops 7 does not feature jetpacks or double jumps as part of its movement mechanics.” They hinted that the clip revealed “something specific” which will become clear during Black Ops 7`s detailed unveiling at Gamescom on August 19.

Adding to the clarification, another reliable leaker, TheGhostOfHope, dismissed the jetpack notion on social media, suggesting the video instead depicted a “mega jump upgrade” likely from the game`s campaign mode.

The controversial video is still accessible online for those seeking it.

Further information regarding Black Ops 7 is anticipated at Gamescom Opening Night Live, commencing today at 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET. However, several details, including this gameplay footage, the game`s projected price, and release date, may have already been prematurely revealed. According to the credible source billbil-kun, the standard edition will cost $70 and is slated for a November 14 launch.

The $70 price point aligns with Microsoft`s recent reversal of its earlier intention to price games at $80 this year. Consistent with Black Ops 6`s 2024 release, Black Ops 7 is expected to be a day-one addition to Xbox Game Pass.

Raven Software and Treyarch, the studios that co-led the development of last year`s Black Ops 6, are also at the helm for Black Ops 7. This marks a historic first for Activision, releasing Black Ops titles in back-to-back years.

A recent report suggested that the concluding mission of Black Ops 7`s campaign will transition into a 32-player extraction-based multiplayer experience.

Should the November 14 release date for Black Ops 7 prove accurate, it would place its launch approximately a month after EA`s much-anticipated Battlefield 6, which is scheduled for October 10. Battlefield 6 recently concluded its successful second and final open beta.
