What to Expect from Season 5
As with every new season, Call of Duty Season 5 will introduce a new battle pass filled with cosmetic items. We can also anticipate more Black Ops 6 in-game events and crossovers. While Season 4 featured cartoon-themed collaborations like Beavis and Butt-Head and American Dad, the theme for Season 5 remains unconfirmed. Call of Duty has, however, announced that the next operator collaboration will be the Fisherman from `I Know What You Did Last Summer,` which could be Season 5`s first crossover news, though the operator bundle might drop before Season 4 concludes.
While new weapons haven`t been officially unveiled, leaks suggest Season 5 could mark the return of the iconic MP-40 submachine gun and the M60 light machine gun. Game files also hint at new melee weapons, including a chainsaw, boxing gloves, and brass knuckles. It`s important to remember that these leaked weapons might be reserved for future seasons or potentially scrapped altogether.
The operator Sims was also discovered in recent game files, indicating he might be the featured battle pass operator for Season 5.
Black Ops 6
Black Ops 6 multiplayer is likely to receive new maps and game modes in Season 5, although specific details are not yet available. For Zombies, the latest Call of Duty podcast episode confirmed that the final map for the mode will be released with Season 5.

Warzone
Warzone`s Verdansk map made its return in Season 3 and has been gradually updated to mirror the evolution of the original map, including the addition of a moving train, an open Train Station interior, and various Easter eggs. While unconfirmed, it`s widely anticipated that Stadium`s rooftop will open with Season 5, providing playable interior areas. Data miners have found game file references supporting this speculation, mentioning new map locations within Stadium like a boardroom and a computer room. There`s also a mention of a `lockdown` for Stadium, though it`s unclear if this refers to a location, an event, or an Easter egg.
Black Ops 7 has been officially announced, with a full reveal planned for Gamescom Opening Night Live next month. It`s possible that an in-game Warzone event could precede this major announcement, as Warzone events have historically been used to generate hype for new Call of Duty releases.
