Developer Gearbox has announced that players of Borderlands 4 can acquire two legendary weapons through Twitch Drops. This initiative rewards active viewers with powerful in-game items, adding an exciting layer to the looter-shooter experience.
The first legendary weapon available is the Midnight Defiance sniper rifle. Players can obtain this potent firearm by watching two hours of partnered streams playing Borderlands 4 on Twitch. This offer is valid until September 30.
Additionally, the Forsaken Chaos legendary shotgun can be claimed after watching two hours of Borderlands 4 streams via the general game category on Twitch. Players should ensure that Twitch Drops are enabled on their account to participate. Gearbox clarifies that these two legendary weapons cannot be earned simultaneously, meaning a total of four hours of watch time is required to acquire both.
For those with less time to spare, a unique “Watch, Drop, and Roll” ECHO-4 Drone Skin is also up for grabs. This cosmetic item can be unlocked by watching just 20 minutes of the game on either the official Borderlands 4 Twitch channel or the Gearbox Twitch channel. This particular offer concludes on September 26.
Gearbox confirms that items obtained via Twitch Drops in Borderlands 4 will scale to your Vault Hunter`s level at the moment of claiming them, with a minimum level of 5. It is advisable to consider waiting until you have progressed further into the game before claiming these rewards from your Twitch inventory. This strategy ensures the gear is more useful and powerful at higher levels of your playthrough.
How to Claim Your Borderlands 4 Twitch Drops
- Watch the required duration of a Drops-enabled Borderlands 4 stream on Twitch.
- Navigate to your Twitch Drops inventory page and click “claim” for each reward once earned. Remember the advice regarding level scaling.
- Log into your Shift account from within Borderlands 4.
- Access the Rewards Center section of your in-game inventory under equipment to retrieve your claimed weapons and skins.
Beyond Twitch Drops, Borderlands 4 players can also receive a free “Hazard Pay” weapon skin by registering for a Gearbox Shift account. This cosmetic will be available until the end of the year. Furthermore, four legendary weapons are offered as a bonus for preordering Borderlands 4.
