Borderlands 4: Global Launch Schedule and Pricing Details

The highly anticipated Borderlands 4 from Gearbox Software is set to launch on September 12. Ahead of its release, the official global launch times have been made public. Players in the Pacific Time Zone can begin their adventure as early as 9 AM PT on September 11, while those on the East Coast will see the game unlock at midnight ET on September 12. A comprehensive list of regional release times is provided further down.

Initially, Borderlands 4 was scheduled for a September 23 release, but the launch date for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC platforms was moved forward. These versions will now arrive first, with the Nintendo Switch 2 edition following later on October 3.

The standard edition of Borderlands 4 will be priced at $70. This pricing drew attention previously when Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford made comments implying he was unsure of the final cost, leading to speculation that it might be as high as $80. Pitchford further fueled the discussion by suggesting that `true fans` would be willing to pay $80 if necessary.

Pitchford has expressed strong confidence in the game`s value, going so far as to state that he believes Borderlands 4 would be `worth it` even if it cost five times its current price.

Beyond the $70 standard edition, 2K and Gearbox are providing several premium versions for players, including a Deluxe Edition at $100, a Super Deluxe Edition at $130, and a Collector`s Edition at $150. Players can choose the edition that best suits their preferences.
