Blue Archive Player Won’t Get Rewards After Event Canceled For Breaking Steam Rules

Nexon has canceled an in-game event for the PC version of Blue Archive on Steam, following concerns that it violated Steam`s guidelines. The event encouraged players to submit reviews on the platform, which contradicts Steamworks policies. As a result of the cancellation, players will not receive the rewards they would have earned from this event.

In an official statement on the game`s Steam news page, Nexon explained their decision. They stated the event was intended to gather player feedback after the Steam launch. However, they realized that linking rewards to review submissions might conflict with platform rules. Consequently, they decided to end the event prematurely. Nexon explicitly confirmed that “in order to comply with platform policies, the rewards for this event will not be distributed.” The company also pledged to exercise more caution in planning future events to avoid similar policy conflicts and to enhance the overall player experience.

Blue Archive launched on Steam recently and quickly reached a peak of over 22,000 concurrent players. Even with the review event canceled, the game has received over 10,000 reviews and continues to attract more, maintaining a “very positive” overall rating on the platform.
