Battlefield 6: Understanding AI Bots in the Open Beta

With the release of the Battlefield 6 open beta, players are discovering that some of their matches feature AI-controlled bots. Battlefield Studios has provided clarification on the bot mechanics, explicitly stating that these AI soldiers will only appear in the `Training Grounds` playlists during the open beta phase.

For the current week, the designated `Training Grounds` playlist is `Breakthrough Initiation`. The primary goal of these training playlists is to assist players in grasping the game`s fundamentals, providing a more streamlined and less intense experience compared to full-scale matches against human opponents. It`s important to note that the `Training Grounds` playlist is exclusively available to players ranging from ranks 1 to 15.

This information isn`t entirely new; Battlefield Studios had previously communicated these details several days ago. However, the developers are reiterating these points now that the open beta is actively underway.

The Battlefield 6 open beta is currently accessible via early access for players who possess a special code, which is relatively simple to acquire. The beta will then expand its availability to all players from August 9th to 10th, followed by another session from August 14th to 17th.

The open beta has experienced a robust start, demonstrating its popularity by achieving a peak of over 300,000 concurrent players on Steam alone.

Battlefield 6 is officially scheduled for a global launch on October 10th across Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC platforms. The game will also support cross-play functionality, allowing players on different systems to engage together if they choose.

Pre-orders are now active for both the Standard and Phantom editions. The Phantom edition, priced at $100, offers additional in-game cosmetics, virtual currency, and other exclusive content, contrasting with the Standard Edition`s $70 price point.
