The open beta for Battlefield 6 is set to commence on August 7th, but players can begin preloading the game client across all platforms right now. Preloading is highly recommended to ensure you can jump into the action the moment servers go live. The process is simple and convenient, requiring no special codes for download.

How to Preload Battlefield 6 Open Beta and File Size

To preload the Battlefield 6 open beta, simply access the game client through your preferred platform`s store. The download size varies: the Steam version is approximately 39.24 GB, and the Xbox Series X version is around 37.56 GB.

Battlefield 6 Open Beta Trailer

Accompanying the preload announcement, Battlefield Studios unveiled a new open beta trailer. This trailer offers a sneak peek at some of the content available in the beta, showcasing a variety of maps and game modes that will be featured in the final release.

As previously communicated, the Battlefield 6 open beta will be accessible from August 7-8 for players who receive a code by watching specific Twitch streamers. Additionally, EA is providing access codes to those who registered for Battlefield Labs prior to July 31st, as well as to EA Play Pro subscribers.

The beta will then open to all players over two subsequent weekends: first from August 9-10, and again from August 14-17.

The full launch of Battlefield 6 is slated for October 10th on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. This title marks the newest entry in the franchise since the 2021 release of Battlefield 2042, which received a mixed reception.
