Amazon Restocks Affordable Nintendo Switch 2 Carrying Cases

While most first-party accessories for the Nintendo Switch 2 have been relatively easy to purchase from major retailers, the console`s official carrying cases have been a notable exception. Despite their premium price points—$40 for the standard case and $85 for the comprehensive All-in-One case—both have been largely unavailable since the Switch 2`s debut. The All-in-One case, in particular, sells out quickly whenever it is restocked, prompting many Switch 2 users to explore alternative options, such as the officially licensed RDS Industries Game Traveler carrying cases.

The RDS version of the All-in-One case has also been difficult to find, but Amazon has recently replenished its inventory of this excellent $40 full system case, alongside several other previously sold-out models.

Available RDS Game Traveler Deluxe Nintendo Switch 2 Cases:

  • Mario Kart World Deluxe Travel Case – $25
  • Black Deluxe Travel Case – $20
  • System Carrying Case – $30
  • Complete System Carrying Case (Black) – $40
  • Crossbody Vertical Bag (Black) – $30
  • Crossbody Horizontal Bag (Black) – $30
  • Pro Controller Carrying Case (Zelda/Black) – $20

RDS Industries offers five distinct styles of Switch 2 carrying cases and bags. While delivery estimates for these restocked items may vary, the full system case, at the time of writing, was estimated to ship within 2-4 weeks. If you are interested, it would be advisable to purchase one soon, as it is likely to sell out again quickly. RDS also recently released a dedicated hardshell case for the original Switch Pro Controller, which is fully compatible with the Switch 2 Pro Controller.

RDS Game Traveler Deluxe Switch 2 Full System Case

$40 | Restocked at Amazon

  • Designed for: Console, Dock, Pro Controller, 2 Joy-Con slots, 2 mesh accessory bags, 2 Game Card plastic cases (4 games each), 2 microSD Express plastic cases (2 cards each), cleaning cloth.

At less than half the cost of Nintendo`s All-in-One case, the Game Traveler Deluxe Full System Case represents a significant bargain. It could even be argued that it surpasses the first-party model due to its precise, form-fitting design and modular components. Unlike the All-in-One case, which may not offer a snug fit for all gear, the RDS case features dedicated slots for the console with attached Joy-Con 2 Controllers, the Switch 2 Dock, two additional Joy-Cons, and the Switch 2 Pro Controller, as well as two accessory compartments.

The accessory compartments include two removable mesh bags that can hold cables, Joy-Con 2 Straps, the AC adapter, and other small items. They also serve as storage for the included plastic game card cases and cleaning cloth. Each game card case can accommodate four Switch 1/2 cards. The game slots are also compatible with microSD Express Cards, and the case comes with a pair of plastic cases, each holding two microSD cards.

All RDS Industries cases are constructed from durable ballistic nylon and feature soft, padded interiors.

The $30 Game Traveler Deluxe System Case is an intermediate option, positioned between the $20 base model and the full system case. It incorporates all the features of the standard case but is thicker to provide space for additional accessories. It includes a dedicated slot for the Switch 2 Pro Controller or a similarly sized controller, which is secured by an elastic band. A mesh bag is also included for small accessories such as the AC adapter, cables, and Joy-Con 2 Straps.

Mario Kart World Game Traveler Deluxe Travel Case

$25

  • Designed for: Console, 12 Game Cards, 4 microSD Express Cards.

This standard Game Traveler Deluxe hardshell case is designed to hold the Nintendo Switch 2 console, game cards, and microSD Express Cards. The case features a recessed interior mold to prevent the console from rattling during travel and a handle with a comfortable rubberized grip. It has a built-in insert that can hold up to 12 game cards. Two plastic cases, each with slots for two microSD cards, can also be stored within the game card pockets. A microfiber cleaning cloth is also included.

The Mario Kart World-themed case showcases key art from the Switch 2 exclusive on both its front and back, complemented by a red Mario logo zipper.

RDS Game Traveler Deluxe Travel Case (Black)

$20

This is the same Game Traveler Deluxe Travel Case, but in a sleek black color, available for five dollars less. It features a red Nintendo Switch 2 logo patch on the front and a matching zipper pull. At just $20, this case is half the price of the official Switch 2 carrying case.

RDS Game Traveler Deluxe Vertical Crossbody Bag for Switch 2

$30

RDS also offers two distinct styles of crossbody bags designed for the Nintendo Switch 2. The Vertical Crossbody Bag features a padded, zippered pocket specifically for the Switch 2 console with Joy-Cons detached. Its front pocket, which is also zippered and further protected by a buckled cover, can hold Joy-Con 2 Controllers, the AC adapter, cables, Joy-Con 2 Straps, game card cases, and a cleaning cloth. Like other models, it includes two plastic cases for Switch game cards, two plastic microSD Express cases, and a cleaning cloth.

This officially licensed crossbody bag is adorned with a silver Nintendo Switch 2 logo on the front, and includes a convenient carrying handle and an adjustable shoulder strap.

RDS Game Traveler Deluxe Horizontal Crossbody Bag for Switch 2

The Horizontal Crossbody Bag offers identical features to its vertical counterpart, but in a messenger bag form factor, distinguished by two buckles instead of one.
