В этом году они вновь объединятся для съемок в «Пять ночей с Фредди 2», сиквеле успешной экранизации видеоигры 2023 года. Роль Ульриха пока держится в секрете, но Лиллард не упустил случая намекнуть на нее во время их совместного появления на Silver Scream Con.

Во время конвенции он также намекнул на превращение Афтона в Спрингтрапа и объяснил, почему отказался озвучивать этого персонажа в коллаборации Dead by Daylight с Five Nights At Freddy`s.

Актерский состав и дата выхода

Matthew Lillard and Skeet Ulrich Reunite in Five Nights at Freddy`s 2
Almost three decades ago, Matthew Lillard and Skeet Ulrich starred as Stu Macher and Billy Loomis in the iconic film “Scream.” This year, they are reuniting for “Five Nights at Freddy`s 2,” the sequel to the successful 2023 video game adaptation. Ulrich`s role is still under wraps, but Lillard couldn`t resist hinting at it during their joint appearance at Silver Scream Con.
“I am thrilled to have [Ulrich] join our community,” Lillard said, as reported by Bloody Disgusting. “I saw his performance this week. Audiences are going to love it. He`s playing a great character. If the movie is successful, hopefully, he`ll return.”
“I always love spending time with Matt,” Ulrich noted. “He`s honestly one of the greatest people I know. As you`ve experienced yourselves, he`s such a generous man. I always enjoy being around him, and working on [`Five Nights at Freddy`s 2`] was no exception.”
Lillard will reprise his role as William Afton, the creator of the murderous animatronics inhabited by the spirits of dead children. During the convention, he also alluded to Afton`s transformation into Springtrap and explained why he declined to voice the character in Dead by Daylight`s collaboration with Five Nights At Freddy`s.
“In… the Dead by Daylight video game, they wanted me to do the Springtrap lines,” Lillard recalled. “I told them, `I`m not doing Springtrap until I do Springtrap in the movie.` So the only way I`ll voice Springtrap is if people go see the movie on December 5! And then we`ll make a third one.”
Cast and Release Date
“Five Nights at Freddy`s 2” will see the return of cast members Josh Hutcherson as Mike Schmidt, Piper Rubio as Abby Schmidt, and Elizabeth Lail as Vanessa Afton. Mckenna Grace and Teo Briones have also joined the cast as a pair of paranormal hunters, with Wayne Knight set to appear in an undisclosed role.
As Lillard mentioned, “Five Nights at Freddy`s 2” will premiere in theaters on December 5. Before that, fans on both US coasts can experience “Five Nights At Freddy`s” haunted houses during Universal Studios and Universal Orlando`s Halloween Horror Nights.
