Microsoft appears to be actively trying to boost interest in its Xbox Series X console. Select users are reportedly receiving exclusive opportunities to purchase the console with discounts reaching as high as 50%.
This promotional campaign seems highly personalized, with these special offers appearing directly within the Xbox Store’s “Just for you” section. As a result, not all users are seeing them, leading to mixed feedback online: some players are celebrating significant savings, while others report finding no such deals available to them.
Based on screenshots and player accounts, the promotion includes various models of the Xbox Series X: the 2TB version, the standard 1TB console, and the 1TB digital edition. Discounts on refurbished units have also been observed. This indicates that Microsoft is exploring diverse strategies to encourage undecided consumers to upgrade to its current-generation hardware.
Although Microsoft has not officially announced this initiative, many signs point to it being part of a larger strategic plan. The corporation may be aiming to gradually transition remaining Xbox One users into its current ecosystem before the anticipated arrival of the next-generation console, rumored to be codenamed Xbox Project Helix.
