White Fox studio is actively preparing for the premiere of the fourth season of the anime “Re: Zero – Starting Life in Another World,” revealing new details ahead of its highly anticipated launch.
The official start of the fourth season is scheduled for April 8, 2026. It will comprise 19 episodes, divided into two distinct story arcs. As a prelude to its release, White Fox studio has unveiled a creditless opening sequence, along with an exclusive preview of the first episode, which will be the 67th installment in the anime’s overall chronology.
Additionally, a preview for a mini-anime series has been showcased, which will air concurrently with the main series.
The first part of the season, titled “The Loss Arc,” will consist of 11 episodes and will begin on April 8. The second arc, “The Recapture Arc,” is set to launch on August 12 and will include 8 episodes. Although it is officially a single season, an approximate two-month hiatus is expected between the arcs, not accounting for potential special releases.
The plot will pick up directly from the conclusion of the third season, focusing on Subaru Natsuki and his companions. Subaru’s primary motivation remains the quest to awaken Rem, who lies unconscious following an attack by the Archbishop of Gluttony. In hopes of finding a solution, the group ventures across the vast Augria desert towards the legendary Pleiades Watchtower, where, according to lore, the omniscient sage Shaula resides.
Production of the fourth season is once again handled by Studio White Fox, known for its work on previous installments of the series. Masahiro Shinohara will return as director, having also helmed the third season. The script will be adapted by Tappei Nagatsuki himself, the author of the original light novels.
