
It’s time to take a closer look at the outstanding works of the winners of the Golden Demon 2026 miniature painting competition, which took place during AdeptiCon, and to discover who claimed the coveted Slayer Sword.
The results of the American leg of the Golden Demon 2026 competition were announced at AdeptiCon. Talented artists from across the globe gathered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to showcase their skills in this prestigious miniature painting event for Warhammer and other gaming systems.

The competition’s top honor, the Slayer Sword, was awarded to David Arroba for his impressive diorama, a true treat for fans of the undead.

In the ‘Warhammer 40,000: Single Miniature’ category, the winners were: Neil Hollis (Gold), Bob Kohoun (Silver), and Alexi Karahaliou (Bronze). For ‘Warhammer 40,000: Unit or Squad’, the top painters were: T.D. McDonald (Gold), Lucas Wiggering (Silver), and Aaron Clark (Bronze).

In the ‘Warhammer 40,000: Large Miniature or Vehicle’ category, the awards went to: Nicolas Rubens Mortensen (Gold), John Margiotta (Silver), and Katarzyna Gorska (Bronze). For ‘Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Single Miniature’, the winners were: Thibaut Ram (Gold), Raphaël Boyon (Silver), and Katarzyna Gorska (Bronze).

In the ‘Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Unit or Squad’ category, the victors were: Lucas Wiggering (Gold), Brandon Ryan (Silver), and Rafael Garcia Marin (Bronze). For ‘Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Large Miniature or War Machine’, the top honors went to: Lucas Holmstrom (Gold), Marco Frisoni (Silver), and Carlos Garcia (Bronze).

The ‘Warhammer: The Horus Heresy’ category saw: Mohamed Ait Mehdi (Gold), Adam Hitchens (Silver), and Elle K (Bronze). In ‘Warhammer: The Old World’, the winners were: Lucas Zaba (Gold), Magnus Nielsen (Silver), and Oliver Pratt (Bronze). For ‘Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game’, the awards went to: Nicolas Rubens Mortensen (Gold), Nathan Cartwright (Silver), and Daniel Jolin (Bronze).

In the ‘Blood Bowl’ category: Magnus Nielsen (Gold), Nathan Cartwright (Silver), and Kyle Dalton (Bronze). For ‘Necromunda’: Daniel Jolin (Gold), Bruce Rose (Silver), and Alessandro Marinone (Bronze). In the ‘Epic Scale’ category: Ivan Bocic (Gold), Pablo Lopez Gimeno (Silver), and John Margiotta (Bronze).

The ‘Diorama’ category saw: David Arroba (Gold), Andy Wardle (Silver), and Tom Carpe (Bronze). For ‘Duel’: Borja Calvo Bertrand De Lis (Gold), Pierre Marboeuf (Silver), and Adam Lee (Bronze). In the ‘Young Blood’ category: Graydon (Gold), Zack (Silver), and Niamh (Bronze). And finally, for the ‘Open Competition’: Alfonso Giraldes Bourbon (Gold), Lucas Holmstrom (Silver), and Sam Lentz (Bronze).
