A recent update for Counter-Strike 2 has unveiled intriguing details suggesting the potential return of the popular Danger Zone battle royale mode. Players who have long wished to see this mode back in CS2 now have new reasons for anticipation.

Dataminer Aquawave discovered a new in-game object called “Cash Stack.” This item not only grants players $250 but also utilizes a familiar cash pickup animation from the original Danger Zone in CS: Global Offensive.

Prominent blogger Gabe Follower further demonstrated a console command: “cash_player_drop_on_death 16000.” This command activates cash drops upon player death, a fundamental mechanic of the battle royale mode. This discovery intensifies speculation about Valve’s plans to bring Danger Zone back to Counter-Strike 2.
