Valve Banned Nearly a Million Counter-Strike 2 Accounts – Fans Urge More Action Against Cheaters

In a significant crackdown, Valve recently initiated a massive wave of account bans within Counter-Strike 2, impacting close to one million accounts by late March. This substantial action was widely noticed by the player community.

A Valve representative later confirmed that approximately 960,000 of these blocked accounts were bots, primarily utilized for in-game farming purposes. These bans were largely facilitated by vigilant player reports.

While acknowledging this major cleanup effort, many dedicated CS2 fans are now actively calling on Valve to intensify its ongoing fight against cheaters who continue to disrupt the integrity of the game’s competitive mode.
