Questions regarding PlayStation Store’s content moderation have once again resurfaced following a recent discovery.
A user identified as Trent3322 was browsing the PlayStation Store when they stumbled upon a suspicious game listing.
The title in question is a horror game called “28 Floors: Outbreak,” developed by Witenovastudio OÜ. What immediately caught attention was the character design featured in the game’s promotional art, which bears a striking resemblance to Nathan Drake, the iconic protagonist of the Uncharted franchise.
Despite the visual similarity, the official description for “28 Floors: Outbreak” makes no mention of any connection to Uncharted:
“Explore a crumbling bioscientific megabuilding in this first-person survival horror, where the only safe place is the only working elevator, and the only path to salvation is the roof.”
This incident has once again drawn criticism from players regarding the PlayStation Store’s moderation policies. It’s not the first time games featuring artwork that appears to infringe on existing copyrights have managed to slip into the digital storefront.
Some users, such as TurqoiseWind, found humor in the situation, quipping, “This game is the missing link between Uncharted and The Last of Us.”
