Turkish McDonald’s Unveils Anti-AFK Device for Gamers’ Gamepads

McDonald’s Turkey has successfully captured the attention of gamers, both within and beyond its borders, with a recent marketing campaign that included the launch of a special “gamer menu.”

As part of this innovative initiative, customers have the opportunity to receive a unique anti-AFK (Away From Keyboard) device, cleverly named “Archie.”

“Archie” directly addresses a common frustration for online gamers: the risk of being kicked from a game due to inactivity (AFK) even during a brief meal break. Gamers frequently resort to makeshift, often cumbersome, solutions to avoid such penalties.

Designed to reflect McDonald’s iconic logo, the “Archie” device attaches securely to a game controller’s analog sticks. Its purpose is to keep an in-game character in motion, thereby preventing AFK timeouts and allowing players to fully enjoy their meal without interrupting their gameplay.
