The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin: Netmarble’s Most Successful Launch Yet

Netmarble, a company renowned for its ambitious, large-scale role-playing games often compared to titles like Genshin Impact and major MMOs, has recently released a new hit. Their latest project, The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin, an open-world action RPG set within the universe of the popular anime and manga, has significantly outperformed all previous company releases in terms of player engagement and launch success.

The game immerses players in an original storyline centered around Tristan, the prince of the Kingdom of Liones. Players are invited to explore the vast world of Britannia, embark on diverse quests, uncover hidden secrets, and participate in dynamic real-time combat, commanding a team of heroes, each possessing unique skills. Origin expertly blends classic RPG elements—such as exploration, crafting, and cooperative gameplay—with a compelling narrative involving spacetime distortions that weave together different timelines and characters from across the series.

The launch figures for The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin are truly impressive. The game achieved a peak concurrent player count of nearly 66,000 (specifically 65,753). This figure more than doubles the performance of Netmarble’s previous major release, Paragon: The Overprime, which peaked at 32,524 players. Furthermore, Origin significantly surpassed the popularity of Solo Leveling: ARISE, which saw a peak of 12,839 players, and Game of Thrones: Kingsroad, with 10,727 players. This outstanding success marks a major achievement for the studio, cementing Origin as their strongest launch to date.
