Ubisoft has officially released The Division Resurgence, a free-to-play RPG shooter designed for iOS and Android devices, extending the acclaimed Division universe to mobile platforms. Initially announced in 2022, the game has finally arrived after a series of postponements, coinciding with the debut of its launch trailer from Ubisoft.
This mobile installment serves as a prequel to the original The Division, immersing players in a besieged New York City just prior to the devastating events of the first game. Players are invited to explore a sprawling open world, undertake diverse missions, and unravel a fresh narrative centered around a dangerous conspiracy threatening the entire region. The campaign supports both solo play and cooperative experiences.
Beyond its compelling PvE modes, The Division Resurgence features robust PvP activities, including the high-stakes “Dark Zone” where players engage in intense PvPvE battles, risking their hard-earned loot. The developers have pledged ongoing support, promising regular updates that will introduce story expansions, new activities, and seasonal content to maintain a dynamic and engaging experience.
However, access to the game is not universal. Ubisoft has explicitly stated that The Division Resurgence is unavailable in several territories, including Russia, Belarus, China, and Iran. Furthermore, the current version lacks Russian localization. Players residing in these restricted regions may need to seek alternative methods to download and play the game.
