Talented cosplayers Gaiar and Many-Faced Demon have once again immersed Harry Potter fans in the magical world, showcasing impressive portrayals of Sirius Black and Luna Lovegood. Their work aims to brighten the wait for the upcoming HBO series and the anticipated return to Hogwarts.
The highly anticipated HBO “Harry Potter” series, which has already sparked active discussion, including over reported changes to Severus Snape’s depiction, is currently set to premiere on December 25, 2026. In the meantime, thanks to the dedicated efforts of the cosplay community, fans can once again dive into the enchanting universe created by J.K. Rowling.

During a recent photoshoot, captured by photographer Liza “Shinori” Egorova, Gaiar and Many-Faced Demon (also known as Svetik Danna) brilliantly embodied Sirius Black and Luna Lovegood, drawing inspiration from “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.”

Sirius Black, Harry Potter’s godfather, James Potter’s best friend, a loyal member of the Order of the Phoenix, and one of the Marauders, is famously known as an Animagus capable of transforming into a large black dog.

He unjustly spent twelve harrowing years in Azkaban, falsely accused of betraying Harry’s parents and the tragic murder of twelve Muggles. Sirius consistently rejected the pure-blood ideology of his notorious Black family and holds the unique distinction of being the only member of his lineage to be sorted into Gryffindor instead of Slytherin.

Luna Lovegood, an eccentric yet exceptionally intelligent and talented witch from Ravenclaw House, attended Hogwarts a year below Harry. Despite her adherence to quirky beliefs, she remains a remarkably capable and sharp-witted individual.

Her unique fashion style primarily expresses her individuality rather than a conscious desire to shock or surprise those around her. Beyond her distinctive persona, Luna possesses a notable artistic talent and the rare ability to see Thestrals — the mysterious, skeletal, winged horses visible only to those who have witnessed death.
