Stardew Valley: ConcernedApe Debunks 1.7 Update Leaks & Romantic Rivals Rumors

Stardew Valley creator ConcernedApe has officially debunked recent “leaks” and widespread speculation regarding the game’s upcoming 1.7 update. The developer asserted that any claims of leaked information are false, emphasizing that no details have been prematurely disclosed.

The gaming community has been actively discussing alleged features, with particular focus on a rumored “romantic rivals” mechanic. This supposed feature would have allowed non-player characters (NPCs) not chosen by the player to form relationships with each other, adding a dynamic layer to the game’s social system.

Addressing these discussions directly, ConcernedApe issued a clear statement:

Any claims of “leaks” about Update 1.7 are false. There are no leaks.

While ConcernedApe has previously shared some confirmed details about the 1.7 update, such as the introduction of new marriage candidates, he continues to keep the full scope of changes under wraps. He indicates he is not rushing to reveal all specifics at this time, preferring to control the flow of official announcements.
