The popular mod designed to enhance The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim’s user interface has just received a significant upgrade, making it even better.
A notable event recently unfolded within the Skyrim modding community: after a nine-year hiatus, version 6 of the SkyUI modification has been released. This major update aims to substantially improve the game’s interface and overall user experience.
SkyUI 6 introduces a range of fixes and enhancements, including:
- Added support for all versions of Skyrim Special Edition, spanning from 1.5 up to the very latest releases, including the GOG edition.
- The interface files are now capable of automatically detecting the specific game version to ensure seamless compatibility.
- This update maintains backward compatibility with all existing mods that either require or modify SkyUI 5.2 SE. However, it’s worth noting that some specific new changes might not take effect if another mod overwrites the newer SkyUI files.
Furthermore, the mod boasts broad display support, accommodating various aspect ratios such as 16:9, 21:9, and 31:9.
The SkyUI 6 Update for TES V: Skyrim Special Edition is currently available for download on Nexus Mods. In a move welcomed by the community, the project’s source code has also been made open-source.
