Russian cross-country skier Savely Korostelev delivered an impressive performance at the World Cup stage in Lahti, Finland, securing a third-place finish.
Korostelev raced in the 10-kilometer individual start event, completing the challenging distance in 23 minutes and 56.5 seconds, which placed him on the podium.
The race was won by the acclaimed Norwegian Johannes Klæbo, an 11-time Olympic champion, who continued his dominant form. Fellow Norwegian Martin Løwstrøm Nyenget secured the silver medal, finishing just ahead of Korostelev.
This achievement adds to Korostelev’s growing international profile. He has previously competed at major events, including the Winter Olympic Games, where his most notable result was a fourth-place finish in the skiathlon.
