Publisher Playdigious has unveiled new details regarding the mobile version of the highly acclaimed JRPG Sea of Stars, set to release on iOS and Android on April 7th. It has been confirmed that, at launch, the port will be missing some content already available to PC and console players.

Specifically, the mobile release will not include the “Throes of the Watchmaker” DLC or the cooperative multiplayer mode. The publisher has not provided any timeline for their potential addition, suggesting there might not be a firm post-launch development plan for these features. Further updates will be shared if the situation changes.

Sea of Stars originally launched in August 2023 for PC and consoles, receiving widespread critical acclaim and positive player feedback. The project draws inspiration from classic 90s JRPGs, such as Chrono Trigger, and features contributions from renowned composer Yasunori Mitsuda to its soundtrack.

The game tells the epic tale of two Solstice Children who harness the combined powers of the Sun and Moon to combat an ancient evil. Players can expect turn-based combat with timing elements, seamless world exploration without random encounters, engaging puzzles, a main story arc of approximately 50 hours, and extensive optional content.

The smartphone version will feature a redesigned touch interface, full gamepad support, and cloud saves. Although Russian language support is listed on the App Store page, official purchase in Russia will require alternative methods.
