Saber Interactive Implements Anti-Piracy Measures in SnowRunner: Hacked DLC Breaks Game Physics

Recent updates to SnowRunner, specifically Update 41 and the release of the premium Mercedes-Benz Trucks Dual Pack 1, have introduced an unexpected protective measure. Developer Saber Interactive has implemented “enhanced DLC ownership verification” aimed at combating piracy.

Players attempting to unlock additional content using third-party programs have encountered significant issues. Their in-game vehicles began behaving erratically: barely moving, shaking strangely, or getting stuck entirely. Initially mistaken for bugs, the community later confirmed this to be a deliberate measure against the unlicensed use of DLCs.

Saber Interactive advises affected players to reinstall the game and ensure they are not using any programs that modify game files to unlock content.

It’s worth noting that due to licensing restrictions, SnowRunner and its expansions are not available for purchase on Russian Steam. This situation compels Russian fans to seek alternative methods for legitimately acquiring the DLC.
