It remains unclear if Nintendo plans to bundle the console with the remake.
According to insider reports, Nintendo is reportedly developing a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. Prominent insider Nate the Hate confirmed this information, building upon earlier claims made by another source, Shpeshal_Nick, who previously stated the project would have a “considerably large budget.”
Following this confirmation, Shpeshal_Nick further indicated that Nintendo also intends to release a limited-edition Switch 2 console featuring a Zelda theme. However, he expressed uncertainty about whether the game itself would be included in this bundle.
It’s worth noting that Zelda-themed consoles are not a frequent occurrence. Nintendo recently launched a special edition Switch Lite to celebrate the release of The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, which notably features Princess Zelda as a playable character for the first time in the series. Prior to that, a Switch OLED model was released to coincide with the launch of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
