Popular survival games Raft and Rust have recently undergone significant price increases on Steam. This development comes on the heels of Valve’s announcement regarding an update to its system for recommending regional prices.
Players have observed that the publishers of these two well-known titles have revised their pricing policies:
- Axolot Games is now selling Raft for 855 rubles, a notable increase from its previous price of 419 rubles.
- Facepunch Studios has adjusted the price of Rust, which now costs 1699 rubles, up from its former price of 1399 rubles.
Both publishers implemented these price updates towards the end of March. This timing has led players to widely assume that these changes are directly linked to Valve’s new regional pricing recommendations. There is growing concern that other currently affordable games (priced under 2000 rubles) might also experience similar price hikes in the foreseeable future.
