Peter Molyneux’s Masters of Albion Beta: Spiritual Successor to Black & White

Studio 22cans is inviting select players to participate in pre-release testing for its upcoming game, Masters of Albion. This exclusive beta aims to gather additional feedback before the game’s official launch, and spots are limited.

Prospective testers must submit their application through the official form. The registration period will conclude on Wednesday, March 25th, at 9:00 PM Moscow time. The studio has not yet disclosed the extent of the game content that will be accessible during this preview.

Masters of Albion is unofficially dubbed the spiritual successor to the beloved Black & White. In this game, players assume the role of a deity overseeing a village. Beyond attending to the various demands of the inhabitants, a crucial task involves defending the settlement from nightly monster attacks.

The project is poised to be one of the most innovative games of 2026. Players will have the ability to directly control villagers to complete objectives or explore the vast lands beyond the village borders. Combat offers similar versatility: monsters can be vanquished using powerful divine spells or by possessing one of the village’s defenders.

Masters of Albion is scheduled for release on PC on April 22, 2026.
