Kaplan recently spoke with Lex Fridman and seized the opportunity to announce his new venture: “The Legend of California.” This ambitious title is a first-person multiplayer survival shooter designed to immerse players in a fictional California island during the tumultuous Gold Rush era.
Players will engage in core survival mechanics, including extensive world exploration, resource gathering, intricate crafting, and the construction of their own vital facilities such as ranches, mines, and stables. The game promises a dynamic experience with varying difficulty levels across its locales. Kaplan cited the “Mojave Desert” as an example, explaining that it could function as an introductory area on one server, yet present a formidable challenge on another, ensuring diverse gameplay experiences for all.
