The third season of Netflix’s live-action ‘One Piece’ is set to bring to life one of Eiichiro Oda’s most beloved and expansive manga arcs.
Netflix recently unveiled a teaser for the highly anticipated third season of its live-action ‘One Piece’ series, officially confirming a 2027 release. Titled ‘Battle for Alabasta,’ this installment will adapt the iconic Alabasta Arc, the eleventh major storyline from Eiichiro Oda’s original manga.
The narrative will follow Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates as they journey to the desert kingdom of Alabasta, a nation teetering on the brink of civil war. The insidious plot to destabilize the kingdom and seize control is masterminded by the formidable Warlord Crocodile and his secret organization, Baroque Works. The Straw Hats must intervene to thwart this catastrophe and save Alabasta from ruin.
Production for the third season reportedly commenced back in November 2025, a proactive move intended to minimize the hiatus between seasons.
In related news, Netflix also announced a special LEGO animated episode. This light-hearted and humorous recap will summarize the events of the first two seasons, serving as a fun way to prepare audiences for the upcoming continuation.
Meanwhile, the original ‘One Piece’ anime resumed airing on April 5th, adopting a new release strategy. Episodes will now be delivered in blocks of 26 per year, aiming to provide a more consistent and balanced narrative pace for viewers.
