Nintendo is reportedly “absolutely furious” about the continuous leaks of confidential information regarding its future projects. According to former senior advertising manager Keith Ellis, the company’s leadership is deeply displeased with recent revelations concerning plans for 2026 and beyond.

Earlier this week, well-known insider NateTheHate published an extensive list of rumored projects for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. These leaks reportedly include a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and a new 3D Mario platformer, which is rumored for a 2027 release.

Commenting on the situation, Ellis stated that Nintendo is “absolutely furious” over these incidents. He emphasized that such leaks can severely disrupt carefully planned marketing campaigns, especially when dealing with major releases and announcements.

Ellis also noted that while Nintendo has dealt with insiders in the past, the current situation appears different and may compel the company to overhaul its approach to information security significantly.
