Mojang showcased upcoming updates for Minecraft during the Minecraft Live presentation. Players can look forward to exciting new content, including a unique biome, an intriguing mob, and new blocks.
A major announcement is the introduction of the “Sulfur Caves” biome. This area stands out with its “warm” color palette, dominated by red and yellow hues. The cave structure is three-dimensional, featuring interwoven blocks and pools of water surrounded by sulfur deposits.

It’s crucial to note that swimming in these pools is dangerous: sulfur reacts with water, forming bubbles that release poisonous gas upon bursting.
In addition to sulfur itself, a new block called “Cinnabar” will also be added to the game.

The “Sulfur Caves” will be home to a new mob: the “Sulfur Cube.” This unusual inhabitant can absorb various blocks, thereby altering its abilities. For instance, if it absorbs a wool block, it can float; if it consumes an ice block, it will start to slide across surfaces.

The release date for this update, featuring these new elements, has not yet been announced.
