New First-Person Diablo II Remake Gameplay: Battles and Butcher Encounter

Work on the unique first-person remake project of Diablo II is actively progressing. Developer Mark, known as “I Make Games,” regularly publishes new content from his unofficial reimagining of Blizzard Entertainment’s iconic RPG.

Mark demonstrates not only dynamic gameplay, showcasing combat and world exploration, but also technical implementation details, revealing the process of creating various in-game objects.

Among the latest demonstrations is a re-envisioned scene featuring the legendary Butcher from Diablo. The developer presented two versions of this encounter, highlighting improvements in lighting from an earlier draft to a more refined version.

This ambitious Diablo II remake is being built on the Unreal Engine. Its official release date has not yet been announced.
