The highly anticipated premiere of Life is Strange: Reunion is on the horizon. This new installment from Square Enix is set to conclude the iconic story of Max Caulfield and Chloe Price, yet it signifies not the demise but an evolution of the beloved franchise.

Hannah Telle, who has lent her voice to Max for an impressive 11 years, candidly shared in an interview that coming to terms with the story’s conclusion was a deeply challenging experience for her:

“During the game’s creation, the thought that I was playing Max for the last time weighed heavily on me. It’s difficult for me to say goodbye to her and to grasp that I poured everything into her: my life experiences, traumas, pain, love, and joy. I invested all that I’ve lived through to portray her story as authentically as possible.”

The actress further expressed her delight in exploring the nuanced relationship between the now-adult heroines:

“They are kindred spirits. When we reunite, people change. And does a promise once made remain valid forever?”

Rhianna DeVries, the voice of Chloe, approaches the finale with a calmer perspective, noting that she always treated each session as if it were her last. Despite rumors suggesting Reunion might be the final game in the series, the beloved characters from Arcadia Bay will not fade away entirely; their narrative is poised to continue on screen with a Prime Video series.

Hannah Telle concluded her reflections:

“This might be the end for Rhianna and me, but the characters themselves are eternal. An Amazon series is currently in production, which will reach an even broader audience. Many actors have portrayed Superman, and I’m certain there will be many other Maxes and Chloes. But for me, this has been the greatest honor of my life.”
