Following the announcement of a complete remake of the original God of War trilogy, fans have been speculating whether the infamous romantic mini-games from the PlayStation 2 and 3 era will make a comeback.
TC Carson, the original voice actor for Kratos, who is confirmed to reprise his role in the remake, directly addressed the question of the mini-games’ return during a panel at MegaCon Orlando.
“Listen, guys — I think so,” Carson stated.
He clarified that this was solely his personal opinion. While these mini-games were a characteristic feature of older titles and have often garnered mixed reactions, it’s notable that their design is often attributed to women. Alannah Pearce, a former Sony Santa Monica writer, mentioned collaborating with one of these designers, indicating that women on the development team were primarily responsible for their creation.
Whether Sony will officially confirm the reintroduction of this content remains uncertain. For now, fans can only speculate until further leaks emerge or the remake is finally released.
