Konami Boosts Employee Salaries by 29% to Attract Talent

Japanese publisher Konami has announced a significant salary increase for its employees. Starting March 2027, the monthly salary for new recruits will reach 310,000 yen (approximately $1800 USD), representing a 29% increase from February 2023 levels.

This marks the fifth consecutive fiscal year the company has raised base pay. Konami stated that the goal of this initiative is to attract diverse and talented individuals, fostering a comfortable environment where every employee can feel satisfied and thrive in their work.

The publisher emphasized that total compensation includes not only the base salary but also bonuses and a performance-based incentive system. Konami believes that investing in human capital will ensure long-term growth and innovation. Over the next 5–10 years, the company plans to actively strengthen employee engagement and support the development of its teams.
