tinyBuild, the publisher of the horror game Hello Neighbor, recently faced allegations from activists concerned about the use of artificial intelligence in game development. The controversy arose following the release of a next-gen update for the game.
The update significantly enhanced the console versions of Hello Neighbor, introducing improved graphics, 4K resolution, and support for 60 frames per second. However, this technical upgrade quickly caught the attention of AI-skeptic activists.
These activists began accusing the development team of leveraging artificial intelligence tools to implement the new features and improvements in Hello Neighbor.
In response to the growing online comments and accusations, Alex Nichiporuk, the CEO of tinyBuild, offered a pointed, sarcastic remark. He quipped:
“Is this artificial intelligence in the room with us right now?”
