Crimson Desert is captivating players with an allure reminiscent of Skyrim’s heyday. Its appeal is so strong that even game developers are finding themselves drawn away from their own projects, potentially affecting games like Palworld.
While Palworld gears up for a major update and its full 2026 release (amidst ongoing legal discussions with Nintendo), even the most dedicated developers need a break. For one team member, that respite was found in the immersive world of Crimson Desert.

Palworld’s Community Manager, known as Bucky, recently spent his vacation fully immersed in Crimson Desert. On X (formerly Twitter), he shared his sentiments:
“Honestly, I’d happily stay home and play Crimson Desert for 12 hours straight again, but I guess I better go to work… gotta do things and Palworld.”
Bucky revealed that he logged an impressive 26 hours in the action-adventure title in just three days. He candidly acknowledged some drawbacks, noting that the controls can occasionally feel clunky and the protagonist, Cliff, might seem a bit uninspired. Despite these points, he enthusiastically endorsed Crimson Desert as an excellent game, advising those who don’t enjoy it to simply move on.
