The Precipice of Truth in Crimson Desert is a challenging parkour puzzle, similar in difficulty to Root’s End. While it can be frustrating, understanding the mechanics makes it completable.
To begin, jump from the ledge behind Root’s End and navigate the moving platforms. You’ll be transported to a series of floating islands, signaling the start of the Precipice of Truth challenge.
Solving the Precipice of Truth Puzzle in Crimson Desert
Upon arriving at the Precipice of Truth, cross the gap and ascend the stairs. You’ll encounter a laser turret emerging from a rock tower. This is the first obstacle and guards the path to a fast travel point, so proceed with caution.
When the turret opens to attack, use Axiom Force to grab its orb. This action destroys the turret and generates an energy rock, a recurring mechanic throughout this trial.
1. Activating the First Fan
Take the newly formed energy rock using Axiom Force and transport it through the tunnels. Upon exiting, turn right to find a battery crystal shielded by a barrier. Position the energy rock next to the cube pillar on the barrier’s left side to disengage it.
Next, use Axiom Force to retrieve the battery crystal. Turn around and place it into the vacant socket on the ground overlooking the abyss. Once green leaves appear, use Force Palm to secure it, activating the fan ahead. Before using the fan, stand on the platform for a moment to activate the nearby fast travel point.
Afterward, glide over the activated fan to launch yourself upwards and reach the small rock platform ahead.
2. Activating the Second Fan
Before ascending the smaller moving platform, look right to spot another laser turret. Provoke it to open (you might need to briefly step onto the moving platform then retreat) and use Axiom Force to destroy it.
Collect the resulting energy rock with Axiom Force and ride the moving platform to the upper area. Place this energy rock beside another cube pillar to lower a barrier, revealing a power core. Carry this power core eastward around the corner using Axiom Force.
It’s advisable to move the power core as far forward as possible, then execute precise jumps to reach the next large platform, near an empty wall socket on your right.
Insert the power core into the wall socket. Once it begins emitting leaves, glide over, climb the wall to the small ledge beside it, aim, and use Force Palm to firmly install the core. This will energize and activate the fan opposite. Precision is key here; aim as directly at the core as possible.
3. Activating the Third Fan
Use the updraft from the activated fan to cross to the opposite side, where another empty wall socket awaits a power cell. Traverse the small rock pillars to your left, ascend to the ledge, and destroy yet another laser turret using Axiom Force.
Grab the energy rock and return towards the empty socket. Descend via the moving platform to the lower ledge, adjacent to a dormant fan. Place the energy rock next to the cube pillar to expose the power core, which then needs to be brought back up to the empty socket.
Repeat the previous steps: position the core in the empty socket and use Force Palm to secure it. This action will activate the fan on the lower ledge and a pair of fans to your right.
4. Activating the Wall Pressure Pad
Glide over the small fan on your left to propel yourself towards the two larger fans. These fans will launch you upwards to a glowing, circular pad on the wall. Land on or climb to this pad, then use Force Palm to press the central button.
This successfully concludes the Precipice of Truth puzzle. You can now ascend to the ledge above and claim your reward: an Abyss Artifact.
